About Leah DuBois

Leah has been taking pictures since childhood. At 7, she was composing shots, making “light trails” on 35mm film, and capturing the authentic happiness of others around her. A natural creative and a lover of human nature, Leah took her photography passions to college and received a photographic technology degree in 2013. While in photo school, Leah loved learning about various lighting techniques, and she especially enjoyed working with human expression. When asked why she wanted to be a photographer, Leah’s answer has always been “to raise awareness.” The desire to share the infinite aspects of human life and emotion inspired Leah to pursue photojournalism, where she worked as a staff photographer at a popular lifestyle newspaper in central Florida, which had three sister papers within it and a large online presence. That career allowed Leah to have the portfolio of her dreams, and she was able to enjoy many new and beautiful experiences.
Leah went on to create artistic partnerships with a variety of small businesses, non-profits, and advertising agencies and continued to work independently as the creator of her own freelance commercial business in 2014. Balancing light and the creation of art from the ethers inspires Leah each day as her artistry expands.
